  • Amazing. I can see that little drops on the boat, this is awesome. Not so awesome is that Venice is falling apart, also good to see in the shot.

    Massive work as always brother.

  • Great decaying texture that contrasts with the smoothness of the gondola. It's a picture that is instantly recognisable and encapsulates the city.

  • Nice compo, is venice? I like the distribution of spaces

  • great texures and colors! I love the walls!!
    kyungmee @ 01-31-2010
  • Nice composition and amazing colors. You've artfully captured the texture of the walls vs. the clean lines of the gondola. Well done!
    Mark Wood @ 01-31-2010
  • wonderfully framed! :) it looks like an image of a smirking face.. ;)
    rian @ 01-31-2010
  • Love the windows. The blackness of them with the blackness of the boat is striking.
    sherri @ 01-31-2010

  • This has to be one of the best Venice images I have ever seen. Just fabulous composition, treatment. Just brings it all together in such a simple but rich way. Congrats on this one, be proud!

  • Beautiful !
    Boris @ 02-06-2010
  • That shiny boat comes out really well against that decaying wall. Like the crop of this scene very much. Leaves something to the imagination.
    Arjan - PlasticDaisy @ 02-08-2010
  • Wow... just wow. There's so much in this shot to keep me looking, so many tiny little details. Great placement of the two windows, with the gondola (I'm assuming it's a gondola...) through the bottom to "anchor" the shot. The texture in the walls is the kicker.
    Chris @ 02-14-2010
  • May sound a bit strange for some people but the image above is typical for Venice. You just don't see those badly maintained walls on postcards :-)
    LightningPaul @ 03-16-2010
  • Very good picture!
